This past Saturday was Black Comic Book Day, an annual event held at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, New York. The event is the baby of comic creators Jerry Craft (Mama’s Boyz) and John Jennings (SUNY Buffalo/Black Kirby), to help promote and showcase artists of color. An amazing event I hope that you take the time to come out and support these creative people who are making positive impacts on the sci-fi and comic book culture.
Until next year, peep the pictures and look for more on BlackSci-Fi.com, artist interviews I conducted for their site will drop in the coming weeks.
